Our weighted lap pads (also known as blankets) come in 6 sizes with your choice of different coloured fabric.
A lap pad or blanket doesn’t require as much weight as the larger blankets as the weight is concentrated into a smaller area on the person.

Care instructions
All Calming Moments’ weighted lap pads (or lap blankets) are completely machine-washable on cold, gentle cycle if your machine can take the weight.
If not, please take it to a laundromat and wash it there. Please do not tumble dry or dry clean.
Weighted lap pads help calm anxiety and improve focus and concentration. They do this through applying a gentle, consistent pressure known as Deep Pressure Touch.
This Deep Pressure Touch (or proprioceptive input) works on your central nervous system.
Firstly, it switches off the “fight or flight” mode in the sympathetic part of the central nervous system.
Then it switches on the parasympathetic nervous system. This physically slows your breathing and heart rate and makes your muscles relax.
The end result is that you feel calmer and less stressed. So then you can focus on the task at hand.
