Occupational Therapists recommend that a single bed weighted blanket should be around 10% of the user’s body weight for the best calming effect. - They are very fine so that you feel no hard edges. And – unlike poly pellets – there is no rustling, “swooshing” noise to disturb your sleep.
- We sew an equal weight of micro glass beads into identically sized pockets throughout the entire blanket. This spreads the weight evenly throughout the blanket so that you get a consistent calming effect.
- The beads are kept in place by two layers of wadding. This means that the weight doesn’t “bunch” or “pool”.
